I bought this for a low priced scope for my AR. It is much nicer than I expected. I've had a RRA scope mount and a Burris and I really prefer this. So much so that I got rid of the RRA since it weighed more. David

I bought this mount to use on a Smith and Wesson MP15-22. So I didn't see a high dollar, and quality, mount from Brobo, Larue or ADM as being needed. That said I was very impressed with the solid construction and quality of this mount. It is a true 30MM mount but comes with inserts for use with 1 inch scope tubes. I don't trust inserts for anything larger than a 22 but it works for me in this case. The mounting is solid and the quality is good. The mount is well made and robust.

The rings are fairly thin which may cause some issue on hard kicking rifles and shotguns, but since this is made for the AR family in mind it shouldn't be much of an issue. The mount also comes with an extra scope ring top with a type of weaver style rail on it. It is next to useless as it is far beyond spec and mounting any type of mini RDS on it would not be secure enough for me to trust.

That said for the $40 you get a good solid mount for an AR that allows you to position the optic in the proper place for eye relief and forward of the charging handle without worrying about bridging the receiver and handguard (which is detrimental to accuracy).

It's a great scope mount. Looking into the construction, solid and light. Got it on my AR15 together with a brand new Scope, shot at 100yd and found "no need to zero". Impressed.
